Jülich Workshop on IBM Quantum Cloud Computing

The goal of this informal workshop at Forschungszentrum Jülich is to discuss the idea of future IBM quantum cloud computers for computation and simulation.

Such devices (under current development at IBM) can be viewed as a follow-up of the successful 5-qubit IBM Quantum Experience on which one can run a small quantum circuit.

During the workshop, participants can:

  • hear about the hardware, the current state of the art in quantum computing as well as research ideas on what to do with current imperfect/small gate-based quantum devices.
  • discuss the development of API and software to interface with the device (and optimize its functionality)
  • provide feedback and input about their own research interests with respect to such devices.

Scientists from IBM Research will be present both at FZ Jülich and via video-conference to give their perspective and research input.
