Time lapse video of the installation of JURECA at Jülich Supercomputing Centre (JSC)

JURECA is a cluster computer developed by Forschungszentrum Jülich together with the Russian manufacturer T-Platforms and the HPC software and support company ParTec. With a computing power of 2.2 quadrillion operations per second, the successor of JUROPA is of the highest performance class currently available: the petaflop class. The computer was put into operation in early November 2015. More information about JURECA you can find here.

Video production
The installation of JURECA was documented by a webcam, taking 1 picture per minute, daily from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm from February 12th, 2015 to November 10th, 2015. In total 225,500 frames were taken, material for a video of a duration of 2.5 hours, stripped-down to 2 minutes for the final time lapse video.
