Docteam represents the interest of the Jülich PhD candidates. We are involved in different committees within the research center Jülich to improve the general conditions for PhD candidates. Additionally, we organize lectures with internal and external speakers to improve our knowledge about the institutional and scientific context of our research. A key aspect of all our activities is the exchange of ideas and opinions. We organize parties, football tournaments and regulars' tables to get to know each other better.

Every first Wednesday in the month at 12:30h we meet in the gegenüber to talk about current projects and topics. If you are interested in meeting other PhD candidates to improve things and to have fun, join us!

You find current dates and information on our intranet webpage.

We have different working areas:

Working conditions (Andreas):

Our working condition group tries to improve the employment situation of all doctoral researchers of the Forschungszentrum. You have an unfair contract? You face problems with your supervisor? You need advice on a personal matter? Here you can find help!

PR (Scarlet):

We want to present the DocTeam to the world! :D Make appealing and informative designs, take photos of all our events, keep the homepage updated and "handsome". We are in contact to the FZJ’s communication department and will communicate via Intranet, Intern the FZJ newsletter and our own newsletter. If you are creative and like the esthetics of the worlds, join our groups!

Events (Carlos) :

Socializing and communication among our peers is fun and an opportunity to network. In our events we meet new Docs, old Docs and friends while we get useful and interesting information. You are an organizational talent? Are you a mess and want to learn to make big parties? How to get catering, invite people and coordinate? We are happy to get every help!

Write to us if you would like to join any of the working areas!
