What lessons did you learn from your time at the FZJ?

The tolerance for frustration that one develops in academia is not a given outside of academia, and it equips academics to tackle particularly complex problems.

Where do you work at the moment and what are you currently doing there?

Deutsche Telekom Technik. Themen: Data Science; Data Engineering; Data Governance; Project coordination in a data-driven environment

Was there anything that prepared you well for your next career step?

Part-time IT degree programme

What is the most exciting thing about your job?

To work with the colleagues concerned to develop the best pragmatic solution, given the available information, whilst balancing competing priorities.

If money and time were no object, what would your next project be?

A system that derives potential process models from administrative regulations in order to identify opportunities for process-related efficiency improvements. Available both as an in-house solution and as an open-source solution for the public sector. It will likely become a personal hobby project.

Who would you like to have dinner with and what would you talk about?

Fortunately, I’m already eating with the people I enjoy spending time with :)
