Two new directors at the Institute of Bio- and Geosciences, IBG-1: Biotechnology
Since March 1, 2013, Prof. Dr. Karl-Erich Jäger and Prof. Dr. Jörg Pietruszka of the Heinrich-Heine-University of Düsseldorf were appointed as directors (secondary employment) of the Institute of Bio- and Geosciences, IBG-1: Biotechnology. Prof. Jaeger is head of the Institute of Molecular Enzyme Technology and Prof. Pietruszka is leading the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry. Both institutes of the University of Düsseldorf are located since their foundation on the campus of the Forschungszentrum Jülich in close proximity to the IBG-1 buildings. By the inverse appointments the long-standing cooperation in the field of biotechnology between the University of Düsseldorf and the Forschungszentrum Jülich is further strenghtened.
