IAGOS
In-service Aircraft for a Global Observing System
IAGOS (In-service Aircraft for a Global Observing System), a European Research Infrastructure on the ESFRI Roadmap, combines under the lead of FZJ the expertise of partners from scientific institutions, weather services, aeronautic industry, and airlines to establish a unique, world-class observing system for global Earth observations. This is achieved with high-tech instruments for the measurement of atmospheric composition installed on bord of longhaul passenger aircraft.
