Research stay of Prof. Rajendra K. Bordia

Dr Rajendra Kumar Bordia is professor of materials science and engineering at Clemson University, USA. He is also the scientific director of Materials Assembly and Design Excellence in South Carolina- a significant NSF funded statewide research award. Among others, he is fellow and outstanding educator of the American Ceramic Society, member of the World Academy of Ceramics, and president-elect of ACerS.

As a Humboldt research awardee he is visiting Prof. Guillon and the priority program Fields Matter (SPP 1959) for three months. At IEK-1, he will focus on fundamental studies on complex sintering problems, investigation of automated machine learning for partially sintered microstructures as well as sintering technologies for ceramic batteries.
