ELECTRA.Battery Symposium
The recently concluded ELECTRA.Battery Symposium, held on June 3rd and 4th, 2024, at Forschungszentrum Jülich, was a resounding success. The event brought together leading battery researchers and engineers from academia and industry, fostering insightful discussions and valuable networking opportunities.
With sessions covering a wide range of topics, including applications of batteries, modelling and characterization, Na-ion batteries, and anode-free batteries, the symposium highlighted the latest advancements in battery technology. Keynote speakers such as Prof. Martin Winter from MEET Münster, Dr. Billy Wu, from Imperial College London, UK, Prof. Laurence Croguennec from ICMCB, France, Prof. Laurence Hardwick from the University of Liverpool, UK, Dr. Timo Danner from DLR, Germany, and Dr. Rob Hovsapian from NREL, USA, delivered engaging presentations that were well-received by the attendees.
The event also featured poster sessions showcasing the latest research from the scientists at Forschungszentrum Jülich's IEK-9. The symposium successfully created a platform for knowledge exchange and set the stage for future collaborations in the field of battery research.
