Electrochemical process and system technology

The scientific and technical core competence of the "Electrochemical Process and System Technology" department is the development, characterization and optimization of high-temperature electrolysis and fuel cell stacks and systems. To this end, stacks, systems and system components are designed, conceived, constructed, modeled, built, tested and electrochemically analyzed. Thermomechanical and process engineering models developed in parallel to the experimental investigations are used to optimize the components and systems and to evaluate different concepts.
