Ines Schmahl

Course: Research data management

Ines Schmahl is a research data manager at the Central Library of the Forschungszentrum Jülich. Her interest in working with scientific data started during her study of physics at the Ruhr-Universität Bochum. Now in her position she works as a trainer, consultant and as the central data curator of the institutional data repository Jülich DATA. Because of that she has a good insight into the needs of researchers here in Jülich.

In addition, she has a Master degree in Library and Information Science with a focus on data science.

Her aim is to enable data literacy skills of participants which is a key competence of the 21st century.
