West Africa: New University Course on Green Hydrogen
Jülich, 21 October 2021 – With the International Master’s Programme in Energy and Green Hydrogen (IMP-EGH), the West African Science Service Centre on Climate Change and Adapted Land Use (WASCAL) in partnership with Forschungszentrum Jülich and RWTH Aachen University are hoping to provide university students in West Africa with the qualifications needed to work in the pioneering field of green hydrogen. In the two-year master's degree, the students will be taught in accordance with international standards and best practices. The German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) will invest an initial € 8 million by 2025 in the master’s course as part of its energy research programme “Innovations for the Energy Transition”.
