Awards for PGI-Scientists
This year's ML4Q conference in Königswinter was attended by numerous scientists from the Universities of Cologne, Aachen and Bonn as well as the Research Center Jülich.
Three PGI scientists were honored for their poster contributions: Dr. Abdur Rehman Jalil (PGI 9) took first place with his contribution " “Selective Area Epitaxy of Quasi-1-Dimensional Topological Nanostructures and Networks den ersten Platz“. Second place went to Lara Schmieder (PGI 9) with her poster " Al0.3Ga0.7As/AlAs and Al0.3Ga0.7As/Al2O3 distributed Bragg reflectors for photon Bose-Einstein-condensation in GaAs quantum wells" und Philipp Rüßmann (PGI 1) achieved third place with his poster "Dichtefunktionale Beschreibung von Materialien für topologische Qubits und supraleitende Spintronik" den dritten Platz.
In addition to the three ML4Q conference award winners, Irina Gundareva (PGI 9) was also awarded as the best poster presentation for her poster "Au/YBa2Cu3O7-x heterostructures for microwave applications" at the International Workshop on High Temperature Superconductors in High Frequency Fields.
Congratulations to the award winners!
