On Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., our institute director Prof. Dr.-Ing. Stefan van Waasen will speak as part of the lecture series ‘Perspectives of Quantum Engineering’ at Saarland University.

The lecture is entitled ‘Cryoelectronics for Quantum Applications – The Path Towards It’ with a special focus on chip development in the context of cryoelectronics. Under the heading ‘How Integrated Circuits are Developed at ICA,’ Prof. van Waasen will provide insights into how integrated circuits are conceived, designed and implemented at the institute to meet the special requirements of quantum applications at low temperatures.

The event offers practical insights into development processes, design strategies and technological challenges on the path to powerful electronic solutions for future quantum systems and is aimed at students, researchers and anyone interested in the field of quantum engineering.
