Canada - Globalink Research Award for Doctoral Researchers and PostDocsGeneral Call 2022

Forschungszentrum Jülich has signed an agreement with Mitacs Inc. (national non-profit research organisation in Canada) with the declared aim of furthering cooperation between Germany and Canada by promoting research collaborations.

In this programme, stays of 10 Jülich doctoral researchers or postdocs in Canada and 10 Canadian doctoral researchers or postdocs from participating Canadian universities in Jülich can be financed each year. You have the option of combining stays by more than one person. The respective duration is 12 - 24 weeks (depending on the research project).

Now we start the next General Call. Applications from all research areas can be submitted.

Interested colleagues who have not yet identified a partner in Canada can also apply. Mitacs supports the search for suitable cooperation partners.

Funding

The stays are funded by an award of 6000 Canadian dollars (3839 Euros) per research award for airfare, living expenses and health insurance.

There are no tax or social security problems with stays in Canada, as the absences are less than 183 days. We have received this information from Mr Thomas Engels, who will be happy to provide you with further information (P-VA, t.engels@fz-juelich.de).
