Public Relation Activities

  • 8 July 2019: Quantum computing: Forschungszentrum Jülich and Google announce research partnership, see press release.
  • Prof. Kristel Michielsen and Prof. Tommaso Calarco from Forschungszentrum Jülich have received Google Faculty Research Awards in 2018.
  • 15 December 2017: World Record: Quantum Computer with 46 Qubits simulated, see press release.
  • Prof. Dr. H.A. De Raedt, University of Groningen, and his co-workers Prof. Dr. Kristel Michielsen and Dr. Fengping Jin from JSC were awarded with the Wim Nieuwpoort Award 2011 for their application "Massively Parallel Quantum Dynamics Simulator". The annual Wim Nieuwpoort Award is awarded by Netherlands National Computing Facilities NCF and SARA to a research team, located at a Dutch university or scientific institute, which ran best a serious scientific application efficiently on a significant part of a large HPC system.
