51st IFF Spring School

Quantum Technology - NOW POSTPONED UNTIL 01-12 MARCH 2021!!

UPDATE 04.05.20:

First of all, THANK YOU for all your good wishes and condolences during the Corona crisis - we appreciate all your kind comments to us!

Today we are pleased to confirm that we have now received all necessary bank account details. The school fees will be returned to you as quickly as possible. This process will take a maximum of two weeks to complete. When all the payments have been processed, we will inform you on this website.

Thank you again for your patience during this difficult time.

UPDATE 01.04.20:

Our staff are doing all they can to ensure the Spring School fees are returned as quickly as possible. Unfortunately, we must again ask for your patience, as the Coronavirus has meant delays in our administrative procedures.

If you paid by credit card:

-all reimbursements were prepared on 26.03. These will still take time to reach your account, so please be patient!

If you paid by bank transfer:

- fees can ONLY be returned to the same accounts they came from.

- Ms Daegener may contact some of you with overseas bank accounts from 06.04 onwards to confirm your bank details.

- only when the bank details of ALL participants have been confirmed can the payments be released, so this may take UP TO SIX WEEKS to complete.

In short, please have patience with us in these difficult circumstances! We kindly ask you NOT to contact us about this matter in the meantime, as this slows down the whole process even further!

Postponement of Spring School 2020:

To maintain a safe environment in Jülich and Germany, Forschungszentrum Jülich has cancelled the IFF Spring School 2020 due to global concerns regarding the coronavirus outbreak. In the interests of the health and safety of participants, our employees, as well as public welfare, it is now impossible for us to hold the event.

The process of reimbursing the Spring School’s fees is already underway. Please be aware that we are unable to reimburse you for travel costs and/or other expenses (e.g. visa costs) . We therefore kindly ask you not to send us any further requests for this type of reimbursement. However, Deutsche Bahn may reimburse costs for certain train tickets cancelled due to the coronavirus outbreak: see here for more information (in German).

Please note that any invitations participants may have received from Forschungszentrum Jülich with regard to their visa application are no longer valid!

The IFF Spring School "Quantum Technology” will NOW BE POSTPONED UNTIL 01-12 MARCH, 2021. We would like to invite you to register for this event in due course, as soon as the new website is ready.

All participants who received a confirmation from us for this year's Spring School will be given priority in 2021.
