Electron and nuclear spin dynamics in fluorine doped II/VI semiconductors

In cooperation with the workgroup of Prof. Dr. Manfred Bayer (Experimental Physics II, Technical University of Dortmund) we study the magneto-spectroscopy properties of the ensemble of fluorine donors in epitaxially grown II/VI semiconductor quantum structures.

Here we focus on the electron and nuclear spin dynamics, spin coherence times and dephasing mechanism measured by advanced optical pump probe techniques. In this context, the influence of the donor concentration and the nuclei fluctuations in the ZnSe host matrix on the spin dynamics is of particular interest on the way to long-lived spin quantum memories.
