Vocational training

Forschungszentrum Jülich currently offers vocational training in 26 occupations, primarily in the areas of science, business management, and technology. Training takes between two and three-and-a-half years, depending on the occupation. The vocational schools are in Jülich, Stolberg, Aachen and Düren. In addition to prescribed training components, Forschungszentrum Jülich teaches additional subject-specific knowledge and know-how for each of the occupations in which it provides training. The training curriculum includes interdisciplinary skills, such as in the area of quality management. In order to give trainees a successful start in the working world, Forschungszentrum Jülich offers employment for a period of three or six months to those who complete their training – depending on their examination results. This enables them to find their feet on the job market and apply for suitable positions – including vacancies at Forschungszentrum Jülich.
