The IBG-2 science management team supports scientists in the acquisition of public funding, in organizational processes such as documentation in science databases, in the handling of research data and promotes the development of open source products. In addition, the team provides pioneering services in the realization of innovative and comprehensive research and supports research staff in dealing with a constantly changing IT landscape. Resource- and application management

The IBG-2 science management team provides expert support and advice to scientists and other stakeholders in its community.

Technology Transfer

Exploitation, commercialization and entrepreneurship are important elements of our research and innovation strategy, as is the constant exchange with our industrial partners.

Technical advice

IBG-2 sends experts to forums, editorial boards, advisory groups, commissions, etc. for expert advice on topics such as plant sciences, plant phenotyping, and bioeconomics.

Publications

Science lives from being known, understood and discussed. TIM organises the publication process and takes care of the documentation, e.g. in literature databases.

Software, Tools, Data & Modeling

Public access not only to publications but also to technologies or software is a guiding principle of HGF and IBG-2. Therefore, we support the development of open source products for the scientific and industrial community.

IT Research and Science

Our scientific IT supports the scientists working in the IBG-2 in their daily research work as well as in dealing with an IT landscape that is constantly changing.

Education and training

The IBG-2 is also involved in education and training for all age groups. The range extends from Bachelor's and Master's degrees, to e.g. mathematical-technical software developers (MATSE), to playful offers for kindergarten children.
