JUQUEEN Once Again Europe’s Fastest Computer

Forschungszentrum Jülich and IBM receive accolade at ISC conference

Leipzig/Jülich, 17 June 2013 – The Jülich supercomputer JUQUEEN has once again been named Europe’s most powerful supercomputer. On the TOP500 list of the fastest supercomputers in the world published today, the IBM Blue Gene/Q system was ranked in seventh place. The distinction for operator Forschungszentrum Jülich and manufacturer IBM was announced at the International Supercomputing Conference in Leipzig by conference organizer Prof. Hans Meuer.
