Research Topics

Currently we are working on establishing a deep understanding of the intrinsic anomalous Hall effect (AHE) in bulk ferromagnets as well as thin ferromagnetic films of transition metals from the first principles.

Some examples of our activities are

  • magnetocrystalline anisotropy of the AHE in uniaxial crystals and alloys
  • topological Hall effect and the AHE in magnets with non-collinear magnetic order
  • temperature dependence of the AHE
  • the AHE in ultrathin magnetic films
  • development of an order(N) FLAPW code for calculations of the anomalous Hall and spin Hall conductivities in thick metallic films thin magnetic films
