Kulturbahnhof Jülich (KUBA)

A total of five young researchers from HITEC will compete in the third Science Slam of HITEC. They are all doctoral candidates working on their PhD theses at Forschungszentrum Jülich, RWTH Aachen University or at University of Wuppertal:

Jörg Ackermann
Institute of Energy and Climate Research (IEK-9) / Forschungszentrum Jülich & RWTH Aachen University
Hamid Ahmad
University of Wuppertal
Apurv Dash
Institute of Energy and Climate and Climate Research (IEK-1) / Forschungszentrum Jülich
Sabine Robrecht
Institute of Energy and Climate Research (IEK-7) / Forschungszentrum Jülich
Aryak Singh
Institute of Energy and Climate Research (IEK-5) / Forschungszentrum Jülich

In a science slam, scientists take to the stage to describe their research topics in an entertaining short presentation. The key is to present the topics so clearly and vividly that they can be easily understood by a non-specialist audience. At the end, the audience decides which “slammer” takes home the title. In November 2015 the second HITEC Science Slam took place at KUBA in Jülich. The audience forcefully requested to repeat this event -  we are now very pleased to announce the third HITEC Science Slam.
