In order to be able to react adequately to the grand challenges facing society, research that looks towards the future is indispensable. Every year, Forschungszentrum Jülich publishes its Structure and Development Plan (StEP). StEP outlines Jülich’s strategy for central research fields and elucidates overarching activities, including expansion investments and appointments policy.
