Research Management and Administrative Infrastructure

You can support our research by becoming involved in research management or in our administrative infrastructure. We are always looking for highly motivated graduates of various subjects who want to apply their knowledge to make a difference.

We offer exciting tasks and activities in a multifaceted, interdisciplinary research landscape and insights into research policy, as well as the opportunity to familiarize yourself with different areas and projects. Examples of jobs in this area

As a scientific coordinator at one of our institutes, you develop strategic concepts for research, applications for third-party funding, identify relevant research and funding programmes, and cooperate closely with heads of institutes and scientists.

As a scientist or business economist at Project Management Jülich (PTJ) or Project Management Organization Energy, Technology, Sustainability (ETN), you provide advice and support regarding all subject- or business-related aspects of the research and innovation programmes in your area of responsibility, review project proposals, and monitor the progress and utilization of funds of the funded projects.

As an assistant to the Board of Directors, you review, analyse, and evaluate complex situations and information related to science, as well as from ministries and the Helmholtz Association. You make suggestions for action and are responsible for the preparation and follow-up work for meetings of board members.

As a fully qualified lawyer, you provide advice and support to Forschungszentrum Jülich on legal matters in the national and international context of science and the economy, in particular in the fields of corporate law, employment law, contract law, and administrative law.

As a press officer, you make research results accessible to the general public, provide advice to institutes regarding suitable formats, and represent the interface between science and the media.

As a project purchasing manager, your tasks include the planning, development, and processing of innovative and complex purchasing tasks in a national and international context for science and administration and monitoring these purchasing processes.
