Auditory and Speech Processing Systems
Dr. med. Patricia Morosan
Our research seeks to improve understanding of the human auditory cortical system in physiological and pathological states. In particular, we are interested in how auditory structures support the perception and comprehension of the most complex and behaviorally important kind of sound: human speech. Our work concerns architectonic mapping of cortical areas involved in auditory and speech processing, the generation of state-of-the-art 3D probabilistic maps of those areas, and the architectonic guided localization of basic auditory and speech functions.
