Do I have to bring my own bike?

No, bikes are available at Forschungszentrum Jülich.

Are helmets available to ensure safety?

Yes, bicycle helmets are available.

How long does the tour take?

About 2.5 hours, of which 45 minutes will be spent cycling.

What is the programme for a sustainability tour by bike like?

  • Presentation of Forschungszentrum Jülich
  • Issuing of bicycles and accessories
  • Tour of the campus with several stops
  • Tour of an institute
  • Return to starting point

Are there any hills on the tour?

No, the tour will take place on level terrain.

Does the tour take place regardless of the weather?

Yes. Please bring suitable clothing, i.e. a rain jacket, comfortable trousers and sturdy shoes are absolutely necessary.

How large can the group be?

The group should not comprise more than 20 participants.

Can I bring beverages?

You can take beverages with you on the bike for the tour.
