PhD Position – Systems knowledge for sustainable practices in a circular and future-oriented industry

titel

Research and innovation are considered key prerequisites for global ecological change, and bio-based products and processes can make a decisive contribution to achieving sustainability goals. As part of this doctoral thesis, the transformative potential of circular economy principles will be explored to address challenges such as high energy demands in production processes and significant land and water requirements for raw material sourcing, which remain critical barriers to achieving sustainability across all dimensions. By analyzing technological innovations and alternative production methods, this research aims to develop strategies that enable circular value chains and foster system-wide changes necessary for a sustainable and future-proof industry.
