Master Thesis - Intergenerational Justice in the Context of a Regional Bioeconomy

titel

The global challenges posed by climate change raise the question of how to fairly distribute opportunities and burdens between present and future generations, with particular urgency in the German lignite mining regions. In the Rhenish mining region, the focus is on developing a bioeconomy, an economic system based on biological resources and technologies. Here, too, a sustainable implementation will depend on integrating the perspectives of different generations. The overarching goal of this master`s thesis is therefore to identify aspects of intergenerational justice in the context of the regional bioeconomy.
