Daniel Felten

Daniel Felten once was a biogeographer and soil scientist. Then, he swapped the field for a desk and has since then been involved in research management. Back in 2020 he was heading Geoverbund ABC/J’s coordination office, located at the Agrosphere Institute at FZJ, which was organising the ABC/J excursion to Oman since 2016.

Michaela Falkenroth

Michaela Falkenroth was drawn to the desert since her Master’s thesis, in which she dealt with coastal sedimentology on the coastline of Oman. Starting in 2018, she was a PhD student at the Institute of Neotectonics and Geohazards at RWTH Aachen, where she studied the role of beach rocks in sea level reconstructions. She was passionate about creative writing, octopuses, and last interglacial shorelines.
