IAS Seminar "Roberge-Weiss Transition as a function of the quark masses"
Speaker: | Giorgio Silvi, University of Ferrara, Italy |
Abstract: | We study the phase diagram of N f= 2+1 QCD in the T Bplane and investigate the critical point corresponding to the onset of the Roberge-Weiss transition, which is found for imaginary values of chemical potential. In particular we aim to characterize the scaling window of the second order transition as the value of quark masses changes. We make use of stout improved staggered fermions and of the tree level Symanzik gauge action, and explore different sets of quark masses and different spatial sizes, in order to assess the universality class of the critical point. |
