  • In a SoilNet LoRa sensor network application, typically both gateway and server operate on a single device.
  • This has the advantage that no instabilities of the network due to a weak mobile network connection can occur.
  • However, in case of large scale LoRa networks with multiple gateways, the server software must be centralized and the communication between gateway and server has to be realized with a mobile internet connection.
