9th International workshop on "Stochasticity in Fusion Plasmas (SFP)" organized by IEK-4

From April 8^th to 10^th 2019, the 9^th International workshop on "Stochasticity in Fusion Plasmas (SFP)" covered 3D physics in stellarators and tokamaks

bringing together 54 researchers from different devices and from different fields. Through 30 talks and 20 posters, researchers from Europe, China, US, Japan, Korea shared their knowledge on the current state and future perspectives of various conceptsy.

The workshop underlined the increasing importance of the role played by 3D magnetic topology in fusion plasmas.

The participants therefore agreed that this important series of the SFP workshop should be continued and more internationally organized. The next workshop will be hosted by Huazhong University science and technology, Wuhan, China.
