Biomolecular NMR Centre
In conjunction with the Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf, the Forschungszentrum runs a research platform for biomolecular ultra-high field spectroscopy. The Biomolecular NMR Centre brings together a range of top-level NMRs, including a 900 Mhz NRM spectrometer.
In a future stage of expansion, a total of eight NMR spectrometers will be available for scientists. The world’s first 1.2 gigahertz NMR spectrometer will be hosted at the NMR Centre. The centre is to be integrated into a user facility that is specifically geared towards the requirements of structural biology. This will combine NMR expertise with other methods and skills: X-ray diffraction (JSRL programme), simulation (JSC), neutron scattering (JCNS) and cryo-electron microscopy (ER-C).
