Research

Our department is in its founding phase. It is located at the largest outstation of JCNS at the Heinz Maier-Leibnitz Zentrum (MLZ) in Garching, close to Munich.

JCNS-4 will open up an additional focus of research with neutrons and further strengthen cooperation between the MLZ partners due to its director holding a joint appointment at the physics department of the Technical University of Munich (TUM), in keeping with the "Jülich model". JCNS-4 organizes the instrument- and user-operation and coordinates method development at the MLZ outstation of JCNS.
