The German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) supports early career scientists (2-5 years after PhD) in starting their own research group in the field of quantum technologies of the second generation. The programme is open to all scientists from the fields of quantum technologies, including quantum computing, quantum simulation, quantum informatics, quantum sensorics and -metrology and quantum communication.

Scientists can be funded for up to 5 years, the funding budget is project specific.

All information is provided in German, only, but the project proposal will be submitted in English. Particularly researchers with international experience and interdisciplinary approaches are invited to apply.
