Science Diplomacy
Science and research at ZEA-1 and Forschungszentrum Jülich is international. Prof. Dr Ghaleb Natour has been committed to science diplomacy for decades with the aim to build bridges to promote science and peace through cross-border cooperation. Among other things, this is based on scientific cooperation.
With the Science Bridges, Forschungszentrum Jülich has established a cooperation model in the science diplomacy context that enables cross-thematic and systematic cooperation with partners in so-called emerging and developing countries. The Science Bridges are multi-thematic and the collaboration is primarily aimed at long-term scientific cooperation, the creation of a sustainable academic training programme and the profitable transfer of knowledge and technology.
