Relevant activities-last 5 years: Metal imaging and chemistry in plants with
synchrotron micro-/nano-tomography and micro-XANES. Developed MATLAB
quantitation of benchtop micro-XRF images. Synchrotron XRF fitting. Focus on
methods development. Wavelet analysis of lake sediment XRF profiles for
paleoclimate event dating (Younger dryas). Quantum chemistry (DFT). Elemental
analyses with benchtop microXRF (plants, sediments, etc).
Future focus: Machine learning for analysis of synchrotron and benchtop spectra.
COST (member): PLANTMETALS-19116 (2021-2024).
Conferences and talks (2007-2022): 7 orals; 1 keynote and 1 oral declined.
