About me

Ankit Patnala is a scientific researcher at the institute Jülich Supercomputing Centre at Forschungszentrum Jülich, currently working with the ‘Climate AI’ team within the ‘Earth System Data Exploration’ group. He holds an MSc in Mechanical Engineering from RWTH Aachen. Prior to this role, he focused on developing self-supervised learning techniques using remote sensing imagery, primarily analyzing crops. He has been involved in several projects, including explainable AI for ozone estimation, statistical downscaling, and AtmoRep. Within the framework of the HClimRep project, he is currently concentrating on the development and implementation of a Weather Generator model for climate-related applications.
