About me
I am a CAE Engineer with an above average Masters in Computer Aided Mechanical Engineering from RWTH Aachen University. Right from the beginning of my Journey as a Bachelors Student at IIT (ISM) Dhanbad in India, I have been a part of interesting projects ranging from Defense R&D (DRDO) to Metals and Mining (Vedanta). But only in my final years at IIT I became aware about my interest in pursuing Masters in Computer Aided Mechanical Engineering.
Formula Student Germany was my first project when I moved to Germany and there I developed fundamentals in CAE / CFD / Thermal Management for Battery Electric Vehicles along with introduction to Star CCM+ as a tool. Due to this opportunity, I was able to start my Internship at AUDI AG in the field of Thermal Management for the entire vehicle. My efforts and work did not go unnoticed and therefore I got an offer to also write my Thesis with AUDI. I helped the department during my thesis to start building a low fidelity Thermal Management Tool (1D) where my main tasks were to do research and generate a fully working first concept using MATLAB/SIMULINK including low fidelity 1D Battery Cooling, Refrigeration and Cooling circuits. Later, I worked as a short term CFD research assistant at University of Applied Sciences Emden-Leer, where I developed a two phase (oil-air) model for dynamic seal in OpenFOAM to predict the 2 phase flow field.
Currently I am working with SDL-FSE group at JSC, where I support the team under the project EuroCC2, helping academia and industry to adopt HPC for their workflows related to either CFD, Numerical Modelling or ML / AI development. As a side project, I am also working on Super resolution networks, where we are trying to reconstruct lost sub grid scales in an LES simulation using an open source library to train AI models with CFD datasets on HPC systems.
