About me
Daniel leads the Simulation and Data Lab Terrestrial Systems at JSC, bridging geoscience and HPC. His research is focused on the development, implementation, optimisation and application of hydrodynamic and ecohydrological numerical models., in particular within the realms of catchment ecohydrology and regional Earth system modelling. He contributes to, and coordinates the development of the Terrestrial Systems Modelling Platform, a regional Earth system model, particularly in what concerns heterogeneous computing. He is also a lead developer of the SERGHEI model, an exascale-ready integrated eco-hydrological and geomorphological modelling framework. Daniel also participates in the JointLab ExaESM, supporting the community to achieve exascale code scalability.
