WHAT WE RESEARCH

We combine natural, life and technical sciences in the fields of information, energy and bioeconomy with our expertise in supercomputing and deploy unique scientific infrastructures.

What we research on

From A for atmospheric research to Z for cell biology - the growing diversity of scientific topics on which the researchers at Jülich are working is a special feature and one of the strengths of our research. They range from a sustainable, bio-based circular economy to the challenges of the energy transition and structural change to next generation computing or health and brain research. As broad as the research field is and as excellent the scientific achievements are, as diverse and above all unique is the research infrastructure on the Jülich campus. Whether it's a quantum computer, supercomputer, clean room centre or high-resolution electron microscope - on the 1.7 square kilometre research campus, scientists can draw on an extraordinary range of instruments for their work.
