We are looking to recruit a

Software Engineer - High Performance Computing / Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning

titel

At the Jülich Supercomputing Centre (JSC), we operate one of the most powerful supercomputer infrastructures for scientific and engineering applications in Europe. Our users not only develop the fastest simulations, but make more and more use of AI methods. For example, the project OpenGPT-X builds large language models for European languages. In other applications, AI methods are applied for predicting weather and climate, material properties, drug discovery etc. The Jülich Supercomputing Centre (JSC) hosts the Algorithm Tools and Methods Lab (ATML) "Applied Machine Learning". In our lab, we develop new ML applications for science. We identify exciting data sets, develop interesting research questions, train powerful models, and try to push further what is possible with AI. We put special focus on HPC systems, and want to understand in which cases very large amounts of compute can be especially beneficial.
