PhD - Control of plants for chemical hydrogen storage systems
Your Job:
- Develop control concepts for highly dynamic and load flexible plants of hydrogen storage systems
- Develop control-oriented models of such plants in Matlab or Simulink
- Validate the control concepts on HIL and demo plants
- Analyze and present results on scientific conferences and in journals
- Support the writing of funding proposals
Your Profile:
- Very good Master degree in a fields with extensive control curriculum, e.g. process, chemical, or mechanical engineering
- Passion for control engineering on the one hand and for chemical / process engineering on the other hand
- Knowledge of thermodynamics, thermal process engineering, reaction engineering - ideally in combination with plant modeling or control
- Experience with Matlab and Simulink
- Ability to analyze complex interactions and to work in a structured way
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Independent and self-motivated way of working but also excellent team player

The position is for a fixed term of 3 years, with possible long-term prospects. Pay in line with 75%% of pay group 13 of the Collective Agreement for the Public Service (TVöD-Bund) and additionally 60 % of a monthly salary as special payment („Christmas bonus“). Pay higher than the basic pay may be possible.
