Scientists of IEK-4 successfully in this year’s DFG funding for German-Chinese research projects

Within the frame of the DFG call for proposals of German-Chinese research projects a contribution of IEK-4 in the field of physics was accepted granting 440000 € funding on German side over three years.

The proposal on the topic „Plasma-wall interaction diagnostics for steady-state fusion plasmas“ was prepared jointly by Dr. S. Brezinsek (IEK-4) and Prof. G. Pretzler (Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düsseldorf) on German side as well as Dr. R. Ding (ASIPP, Hefei) and Prof. H. Ding (Dalian Technical University) with corresponding funding on Chinese side. The project focusses on further development of laser-based diagnostics for investigation of plasma-wall interactions in the long pulse experiments EAST (tokamak, Hefei) as well as W7-X (stellarator, Greifswald).
