Process Units for Chemical Hydrogen Storage

The team aims to research chemical process engineering systems for the storage and release of hydrogen in and from LOHCs ("Liquid Organic Hydrogen Carriers"). The projects start with test facilities in the laboratory environment and extend to self-sufficient demonstrators on a technical scale.

The largest current project aims to show that LOHC technology is suitable for supplying trains with emission-free energy away from electrified lines.
