High-Energy X-Ray Methods

Hochenergieröntgen-Methoden

In the department “High Energy X-ray Methods”, we develop high energy X-ray methods, whereby the high energies allow the investigation of real reactor systems. Our aim is to use these methods to investigate the reaction and degradation mechanisms at the atomic/molecular level in order to generate the fundamental understanding of catalytically active interfaces and bulk phases required for material and process development. Accordingly, we develop and apply surface-sensitive high-energy X-ray methods on the one hand and high-energy X-ray scattering and imaging on the other. Complementary, we develop and use neutron methods.
