Model Systems and Equilibrium Properties
In the Team “Model Systems and Equilibrium Properties”, we conceptualize model systems of hydrogen storage molecules and their interfaces, which mimic the reaction conditions as realistically as possible.

In the department “Interface Science of Hydrogen Storage Molecules”, we investigate the interfaces relevant for chemical hydrogen storage – inter alia using model systems – and thus establish the necessary fundamental understanding for the design of optimized materials and processes. On the one hand, we investigate interfacial phenomena under equilibrium conditions in order to develop a basic understanding of the interactions. Building on this, we investigate the same or similar interfaces under non-equilibrium conditions in order to understand them under actual reaction conditions.
