Congratulations to our PhD student Tan!

For the second time, a ZEA-1 PhD student has won the JUICE Innovation Contest, impressing the jury with her concepts for turning research results into innovative products or services.

Seven teams presented their promising ideas to a top-class jury and an interested audience.

The winning team 'CeraBatt', consisting of Melanie Rosen (IMD-2), Konstantin Köster (IMD-2), Konstantin von Foerster (IET-1) and Tan Tan (ZEA-1), impressed the jury with their project idea to develop ceramic solid-state batteries as an innovativealternative to conventional lithium-ion batteries. These batteries will be developed specifically for the stationary energy storage market to provide more safe, more reliable and longer lasting energy sources. The team will receive prize money of €2,500 and additional support from the Startup Village Jülich.
