Science Diplomacy
Science and research at ITE and Forschungszentrum Jülich is international. Prof. Dr Ghaleb Natour has been committed to science diplomacy for decades with the aim to build bridges to promote science and peace through cross-border cooperation. Among other things, this is based on scientific cooperation.
With the Science Bridges, Forschungszentrum Jülich has established a cooperation model in the science diplomacy context that enables cross-thematic and systematic cooperation with partners in so-called emerging and developing countries. The Science Bridges are multi-thematic and the collaboration is primarily aimed at long-term scientific cooperation, the creation of a sustainable academic training programme and the profitable transfer of knowledge and technology.
