New ITE Experimental Hall
The purpose of the new experimental hall is to bring together ITE’s expertise and infrastructure in a single central location. Covering a total area of around 4,650 m2, the three floors will include, amongst other things, two universal experimental areas for setting up large-scale experiments and facilities covering up to 500 m2, as well as for long-term experiments. In addition, various laboratories will be relocated and set up:
• Cleanroom for high-vacuum technology and electronics
• Server room for simulation clusters (CPU + GPU)
• 20 physical and technical laboratories:
-Automation and electronics integration
-Materials testing, development, post-mortem analysis and materialography
-Ultra-high vacuum and cryogenic technology-Magnetic field and laser investigations
-X-ray and testing technology
• four technical halls, including facilities for special joining technology, fuel cell and membrane reactor development
The construction period is scheduled from mid-2025 to early 2028.
